Tanah Lot means “Land in the Middle of the Sea” in Balinese language. Tanah Lot is one of famous places of interest in Bali, located on the coast of West Bali, at the village of Beraban in Tabanan Regency. Tanah Lot well-known as a Pura Tanah Lot or Tanah Lot Temple, simple in its construction, is dramatic in its ocean-front location and is one of the main temple’s in the worship of Balinese Gods. If you come on the right time, you can see the Balinese Hindu ceremony in this beautiful temple.
The history:

This Temple was built in the 15th century by the priest, Pedanda Bahu Rawuh or Danghyang Nirartha from Majapahit Kingdom, an ancient Hindu Kingdom in Java.
Near this Temple there are several small and big shrines, the biggest one is Pekendungan Temple. There is a spring considered sacred not far from this temple.

The beaches of Tanah Lot are ideal for relaxing, especially in the late afternoons, when the temple on the rock dissolves into a striking silhouette against the evening sky. You can also enjoy Kecak Dance, a very unique dance in Bali. I love this beautiful dance.

Tanah Lot also have many beautiful venues around the Tanah Lot area to do some different and attractive activities for visitor. With deep blue ocean and spectacular sunset, Tanah Lot gives you unforgettable memories ever like in: Sunset Terrace, Enjung Galuh, Batu Bolong, and Cultural Park, Yeh Kutikan, and Balinese souvenir shops.
Don't forget to capture the best moment in Tanah Lot with your new digital camera, so you can bring wonderful memories to your home land.
